VENUS AND ASTROLOGY​
When it comes to astrology, you probably already know your Sun sign. But what you may not know is that each planet in the solar system plays a part in how we express ourselves.
The planet Venus represents feminine energy, self-worth, money, values, attraction, receiving, beauty, pleasure and relationships. Through her we connect with the Goddess power of Aphrodite and Inanna.
When we are connected with Venus we love our own body as a source of pleasure, beauty and satisfaction. This is not just sexual pleasure, but the food we eat, the bed we sleep in, the way we decorate our house, the soap we use. We feel worthwhile enough to give ourselves pleasure and enjoyment on the most ordinary—as well as extraordinary—levels.
When we are disconnected with Venus we lose our sense of self-worth, causing us to feel unattractive, valueless, unlovable and undeserving of happiness. We give to others out of neediness and a sense of
people-pleasing.

Full disclosure—I am an ambitious Capricorn. I spent my life chasing goals and creating challenges that I could overcome. Once one goal was reached, I would simply fix my sights on another without stopping to rest, celebrate my achievements or even think about why I even wanted it in the first place.

Eventually, this masculine way of living resulted in a breakdown in my early 30s (or as I like to call it, a breakthrough).
I saw a healer who told me that my masculine energy had been dragging my feminine energy around for so long that she had burnt out.
She had basically gone on an energetic strike in an effort to be noticed.
​

SO I BEGAN THE JOURNEY TO RECONNECT WITH MY SOFTER,
MORE FEMININE SIDE.
This journey included embodiment workshops, dance classes (including a stint at Burlesque), self-development and mindset courses and learning how to give myself self-compassion and lots of love.
But something was still missing.

IT ALL CLICKED INTO PLACE WHEN I STARTED STUDYING ASTROLOGY AND DISCOVERED MY VENUS ARCHETYPE.

I discovered that while my Sun is in the sign of Capricorn, my Venus is in the sign of Aquarius. Essentially, this gives my disciplined, practical and industrious Capricorn side an innovative, unconventional, freedom-loving edge.
Once I made this discovery, I was able to embrace my quirky, unconventional side. I realised why I desired so much freedom in my life and my relationships (and why so many love affairs fizzled). I realised where my personal style came from and why I needed to constantly be exploring new ideas and creating things.
My striving, Capricorn side had permission to shift and allow the feminine part of me to glow brightly.
VENUS TAUGHT ME THAT I AM PERFECT THE WAY I AM, AND GAVE ME THE CONFIDENCE TO EXPRESS MYSELF.
Connecting with my personal Venus archetype, combined with the deeper energetic work I had been doing had the following flow-on effect: ​
I stopped constantly striving and had more energy for life.

Opportunities fell into my lap.

Do I need to know anything about astrology?
Nope, I will take you through everything you need to know for this course.
When are the group calls?
The dates and time of the group calls will be announced when the next round opens.
​
How much time will I need to dedicate each week?
The weekly group calls will run for one hour. The rest of the time you spend on the journaling exercises/embodiment activities is up to you. I recommend that you bring a little bit of Venus into each day - even spending just 5min a day connecting with her is beneficial.
Can men take part?
